FOO MAW SHEN, Managing Director of the firm, has more than 30 years of experience in high value commercial litigation, cross border disputes and conducted international arbitration under arbitral rules of SIAC, ICC, HKIAC, CIETAC and AAA.

His practice focus areas range from restructuring of listed entities to insider trading and breach of the Securities and Futures Act to litigating high profile and landmark  cases involving insolvency, shareholder and boardroom disputes, commercial fraud, trust laws, property and construction disputes, urgent injunction applications and gaming issues

Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, Maw Shen had managed the China practice of a leading law firm for a number of years and hence is well versed with the realities of operating in China and the challenges clients face.

He has the full confidence and trust of his clients which include accounting firms, listed companies, venture capitalists, state owned enterprises and gaming operators among others, to achieve cost effective results. CHU HUA YI, with 15 years of experience, is the Deputy Managing Director of the firm.  His litigation and international arbitration practice span a broad spectrum from commercial and corporate disputes, fraud, cross-border investment disputes to construction disputes. Being fluent in English and Mandarin, he represents and is a trusted advisor to clients from China and Taiwan.

He has also developed a well-regarded criminal defence practice dealing with statutory offences under the Securities and Futures Act, Companies Act and the Penal Code as well as regulatory issues under the SGX Listing Rules.  Reflecting his good standing, he has also represented the Law Society before the Disciplinary Tribunal and the Court of Three Judges.

Hua Yi believes in giving back to the society and his volunteer activities include being a facilitator for the Preparatory Course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations conducted by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.  On a pro bono basis, he also represents accused persons under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme.

CHAN WAN HONG, Senior Director, who heads the corporate practice of the firm has more than 25 years of practical experience in corporate and commercial transactions. He is a client-focused and business-oriented practitioner who provides pragmatic advice and brings commercial sensibilities and a solutions-based approach to complex deals.

Wan Hong specialises in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments as well as corporate finance and capital markets transactions. He advises extensively on equity and quasi-equity investments in various businesses, early to late-stage fundraising rounds, and business and asset acquisitions across various industries. He also advises multinational clients on structuring of joint ventures and resolving disputes between joint venture partners.

Jih Shenn is a dual-qualified lawyer (Singapore and England & Wales) whose corporate practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, energy and infrastructure. He advises venture capital firms on early-stage investments, as well as founders, listed and private companies on transactions across the region. He has advised leading international lenders, multilateral development banks, sponsors, and investors on complex financing and restructuring mandates across the UK, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

His financing work spans leveraged and acquisition finance, project finance and structured lending across the power, hospitality, data centre, commodities and agri-business sectors. He has advised on landmark transactions including a multi-tranche leveraged financing for an international corporate borrower, project financing for a subsea internet cable linking Singapore to North America, and senior secured acquisition financings across multiple Asian jurisdictions. He has also advised on complex cross-border debt restructurings involving distressed corporate borrowers facing hostile creditor action.

In his projects practice, he has advised on some of the region’s most significant energy and infrastructure transactions, including a greenfield solar power project in Southeast Asia, a floating solar facility underpinning a major technology company’s renewable energy commitment, a hyperscale data centre development, and greenfield wind and battery energy storage projects.
